Non Destructive Testing

Nondestructive testing (NDT) is a wide group of analysis techniques used in science and technology industry to evaluate the properties of a material, component or system without causing damage.

 

Because NDT does not permanently alter the article being inspected, it is a highly valuable technique that can save both money and time in product evaluation, troubleshooting, and research.

Examples of NDT use include Weld Verification and Structural Mechanics.

Veterinary

2D systems give a fundamentally limited view of 3D bodies, due to overlapping bony structures, many different views are required when try to find a diagnosis.  3D CT scans are beyond the budget of many cat and dog owners and for imaging horses, full general anaesthesia is required which is risky and expensive.

Adaptix's FPS system allows the scanner to be taken to the animal, and in the case of horses, allows them to remain standing, reducing the anaesthesia risk, reducing costs and providing clearer images than 2D. Smaller animals can be imaged in 3D at local vets that do not own a CT scanner saving considerable cost and time compared to a referral for a CT scan elsewhere.
